John currently works as a freelance writer and editor. John’s most recent project is Durham Dining Adventures, a physical zine and digital newsletter covering the culinary scene in Durham, NC. He is also the founder of The Daily, a craft beer bar and cafe in Durham.

Passionate about the food and beverage scene, John has written for Fifty Grande, The Quality Edit, Cool Hunting, INDY Week, InsideHook, It’s A Passion Thing, Edible Brooklyn, Boston.com, and Boston magazine. Previously, he served as the Managing Editor for both Cool Material and Hop Culture.

When he isn’t writing or shooting photos, John is likely spending way too much money on vinyl, watching Premier League soccer, playing Magic: The Gathering, or reading longform journalism. He’s probably down for a beer tonight.
